The team behind this site

Yongbo Jia, MD

Yongbo Jia, MD (贾勇波)

Head of Dermatology & Deputy Director, Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Vice Chief Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending

Dermatology · acne, pigmentation and rosacea

Dr. Yongbo Jia is Head of Dermatology at Chongqing West District Hospital and Deputy Director of the hospital’s Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center, and he is the lead physician of this site. A vice chief physician and licensed aesthetic attending, he graduated from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and trained in dermatology at the Institute of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and at Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

His practice is the medical control of the conditions this site covers: teenage, adult and hormonal acne, the look-alike conditions mistaken for it, the pigment left behind by inflammation, melasma and other pigmentary disorders, and rosacea with its patterns of flushing, redness and papules. He treats these as chronic conditions to be managed over months and years rather than problems to be blasted away in a fortnight, and he says so at the first consultation.

Clinical focus

  • Medical control of teenage, adult and hormonal acne, including when oral treatment is justified and how it is monitored
  • Aftercare of post-inflammatory pigment: the red and brown marks acne leaves behind
  • Melasma and other pigmentary disorders, managed with photoprotection first and supervised treatment second
  • Rosacea and facial redness, managed by subtype with individual trigger identification
  • Diagnosis of the conditions that imitate acne, including folliculitis, perioral dermatitis and medication-related eruptions

Academic roles & achievements

  • Member, Jiusan Society
  • Member, Chongqing Integrative Medicine Skin & Beauty Committee
  • Advanced training at the Institute of Dermatology (Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences) and Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Diagnosis first

Most treatment failures in acne, pigment and redness care trace back to a missed diagnosis or an abandoned routine. Getting the assessment right, then staying with the maintenance plan, is what quietly produces results over months.

Ke He, MD

Ke He, MD (何锞)

Deputy Director & Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics · Chongqing West District Hospital

Skin & laser aesthetics · procedural treatment

Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within this team her role is the procedural end of the pathway: the light- and energy-based treatment of persistent redness, visible vessels, pigment and scar texture, planned around each person’s skin tone and healing response.

Role within the team

  • Light- and energy-based treatment of persistent redness and visible vessels
  • Procedural treatment of scar texture and post-inflammatory marks, once the active condition is controlled
  • Full-cycle skin management, including barrier care and photoprotection planning

Devices are tools, not magic

A device is only as good as the assessment behind it. Choosing the right one, at the right interval, and respecting skin tone and recovery time, is what separates treatment from experimentation.

Tongchun Mao, MD

Tongchun Mao, MD (毛彤春)

Deputy Director & Head of Aesthetic Surgery · Chongqing West District Hospital

Aesthetic surgery · excision and fine closure

Dr. Tongchun Mao is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center and head of its aesthetic surgery service at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within this team his role is the fine closure: when a lesion or a scar has to be removed, the line left behind decides whether anyone ever notices.

Role within the team

  • Aesthetic excision of superficial lesions with layered cosmetic closure
  • Closure principles applied to surgical scar revision
  • Shared case planning within the four-physician team

The closure is the result

Once a lesion or a scar is removed, what remains is a line. Fine closure technique, respect for aesthetic units, and scar-conscious aftercare decide whether that line fades into the skin or announces itself.

Shaoliang Wang, MD

Shaoliang Wang, MD (王韶亮)

Director, Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Chongqing West District Hospital

Plastic surgery · center leadership · surgical backstop

Dr. Shaoliang Wang is Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within the team he provides the surgical perspective: the judgement of when a concern is better served by an operation than by medical treatment, and the tertiary-hospital surgical backstop behind the center’s work.

Role within the team

  • Center leadership and multidisciplinary case review
  • Surgical scar revision and complex wound repair where an operation is the honest answer
  • Hospital-based support for the rare complication that needs theatre-level care

A hospital-based advantage

When a lesion needs a pathology answer, when a scar needs surgical revision, or when a complication needs theatre-level care, those services are already in the same building. Practicing inside a tertiary general hospital means that backstop is real, not theoretical.
